From Iguchi Yuka no Mu~~~n #17, 2011.01.24

A couple of weeks back Iguchi had randomly seen Asumi Kana in a clothing store, but Asumi had not yet noticed her. Iguchi then snuck up behind her and said “Ah! Are you Asumi Kana?? Can I have your autograph!?” lol.
Asumi was surprised at first and when she turned around she was kinda flustered, then saw it was Iguchi and was like “… Eh. Iguchi…” Ahahah I wish I could see that reaction :D
Incidentally, she’s also bumped into Toyosaki Aki randomly in a clothes store recently as well.
These random encounters usually happen right after work, so I guess it can happen often since they sometimes browse the stores near the studio right after a recording.

Speaking of seiyuu bumping into each other outside work…

I remember an early episode of Macross F Radio where Kamiya Hiroshi and Nakamura Yuuichi mentioned that randomly coming across another seiyuu outside work wasn’t that uncommon quoting a time recently (back when Macross Frontier had just started) where Nakamura was greeted by May’n at a train station, before he even knew her.

He was wondering who this random girl who was openly talking to him was till she noticed he didn’t recognise her, she then introduced herself as May’n and then he realised she was the singer for Sheryl.

Nakamura and Kamiya agreed that it happens rather often due to the work times and places they go to being reasonably similar for everyone in the business.

P.S. Nakamura(+Kamiya) was really surprised how easily May’n came up and spoke to him out of nowhere at the station, and admired her courage for being able to speak to someone she hadn’t met before when she randomly spotted them outside of work. May’n sounds like a wonderful person :D

A new BluRaji special released to promote the new PSP and 3DS release of BlazBlue. The video has been changed to a wide screen format of 16:9 which is where the “Wide” in its name cames from.

– They comment that now it’s on a wide screen they won’t have to be so cramped when a guest comes on heh.

I think Kanako is mumbling something about how he didnt quite take off his shirt but it looks like something did happen though she doesn’t go into it. I wonder what happened lol. It looks like she was there with Koyama but the other two weren’t.

For those who don’t remember/know Sugita’s character in SZS, he’s a person who loves old things and rejects new things. The word for “old” is “kyuu”. With this they make a joke in the opening on Shintani’s name replacing the “Shin” (which means new) to “Kyuutani” lol. I love puns :D

– Shintani goes completely quiet when the two of them start talking about old games lol. Poor Shintani can’t keep up lol.

– Shintani decides to forgo talking and starts playing Monster Hunder on a PSP while the two of them ramble on about games lol.

– Shintani makes a little yelp out of nowhere while the two were talking since something surprised her in Monster Hunter lol. She apologises and tells the two of them to continue.

– Sugita and Kamiya has played Amagami and they’ve mentioned it from time to time on radio lol. Shintani voices one of the heroines in Amagami, Rihoko.

Sugita: “Shintani! Shintani!”
Shintani: “Huh?”
Sugita: “There’s a hole under this fence, we can use it to go to school!”
Shintani: “No! No” *laughs*

– Sugita plays Galge/Visual Novels with his arcade stick console lol. He also mentioned that he wanted to try playing with a DDR mat as it might give him the experience of playing the Galge with his whole body… Or something like that ahaha.

– Left4Dead reference! It looks like both Sugita and Kamiya plays it :D

Lol there’s no way I can keep up with the two of them too. I have no idea about any of these old japanese games OTL

Sugita has a little speech at the start about trying to cheer everyone up with this radio :D. How sweet~

– Apparently Nakamura had intended to come on the show as well, even if he wasn’t gonna get paid for it but he couldn’t make it due to other work :(

– Nakamura has been calling Sugita everyday ever since the earthquake haha. :D

– Sugita has been watching Infinite Stratos :D

– A listener sends in a mail about a dream he had featuring Amagami’s Nanasaki, Yukana’s character and Sugita had her read a line in Nanasaki’s voice <3

– Sugita and Yukana had gone to a staff party to eat yakiniku and Sugita had pretty much only salad on his plate and Yukana scolded him for not eating enough meat haha.

Sugita: “Pretty much the only people who tell me off for that are my mum and Yukana.”

– Lol was that a Cirno Perfect Math Lesson IOSYS reference? Well I’m not surprised I guess, Sugita’s mentioned Touhou more than a couple of times :D

– Sugita didn’t watch Infinite Stratos from the start, but after receiving a lot of mail regarding it he decided to take a look and ended up liking it.

Sugita and Yukana has a kinda little brother-elder sister sorta relationship. Sugita has come to her for advice and to be cheered up by her before. How wonderful <3

Old PayoPayo episode guesting Honey and Clover’s mangaka Umino Chika as well as Mayama’s seiyuu Sugita Tomokazu. Incidentally Mikako voiced Yamada.
The three of them get along pretty well. Mikako and Sugita aside, Umino has met up with the cast of Honey and Clover rather often outside of work in their leisure time as well as for work on their individual radio shows.

– The two girls compliment the way Sugita’s front forehead hair has been let down since they rarely see it not spiked up

– Sugita and Mikako say that Umino ate a huge amount last time they all went out to eat Okonomiyaki together.

– Sugita and Mikako were talking about how often they’ve seen each other at recordings recently, both of them were regular cast members for 4 shows running at the time: Gintama, Nanoha StrikerS, Super Robot Wars and Sisters of Wellber.

– Umino comments that she was really surprised that one of Mikako’s characters as a child grew up to be voiced by Sugita lol. Nanoha’s Chrono~
Mikako: “Ah so when I grow up I’m going to have a voice like Sugita!” LOL

– Honey And Clover’s setting “Hamadayama” was named off a real place, but the look of the shopping district was traced from another shopping district nearby it seems.

I’ve heard many times from friends of Sugita about how much all the girls adore Sugita and you can really see it lol. I love how he’s still all kinda not used to being around them though <3

Darker Than Black Backstage Pass #6

Radio for the second season of Darker Than Black. It turns out that Hanazawa Kana had a bad cold at the time of it’s recording, she had a mask on as well as that nose-blocked voice and emphasized to the other two, Hidenobu Kiuchi and Fukuen Misato, to stay far away from her so as not to catch it. Also I’m probably being a terrible person for saying this but… KANA WAS SO ADORABLE IN THIS EPISODE <3 <3 OTL

Juuninin no Yasashii Koroshiya SideR #8

Radio hosted by Sugita at around late 2008. This episode had Fukuyama Jun as a guest.

– The first time Fukuyama Jun had met Sugita was when they went to karaoke as a group. At the time he thought Sugita was far older than him and spoke to him using formal speech. Throughout the whole outing he spoke to him this way until another person told him “Hey Sugita’s younger than you, why are you using formal speech with him?” to which Jun exclaimed “WHAT!? Why didn’t you tell me from the start Sugita?!” This was when they were about 20 years old haha.

Iguchi Yuka’s new radio which started a couple of weeks after her own ChoRaji! Girls had ended. The name comes from something she’s often done, yelling “Mu~~~n” with her arms open wide lol. Another reason why the name is Mu~~~n is due to the show being aired on Monday, which is written as “Moon Day” in Japanese(as well as English incidentally, a random bit of trivia: The english word Monday was derived from the Old English Mōnandæg and Middle English Monenday which means “Moon Day”) This is the first episode that she’s had a guest come on, I’m glad it’s earlier than her previous ChoRaji! Girls which had it’s first guest on it’s 19th episode. The three guests are here as a Tamayura special.

I know next to nothing about Gibu Yuuko; I know Asumi Kana has barely met up with Taketatsu Ayana before, and only during recent recordings; and that Asumi and Iguchi are really close friends but other than that I’m not sure how well the others know each other. Yuuko has guested on Iguchi’s ChoRaji! Girls once as it’s last guest on 2010.8.27, a month before the show ended. Incidentally Yuuko goes on to guest on Asumi Kana’s own radio show soon after this episode.

Ayana, Asumi and Yuuko were jumping around in the window in the other room at the start lol.

The final episode of Zoku BlazBlue Radio right when BlazBlue Continuum Shift II is released in arcades in Japan. I was hoping they’d keep the show alive to continue promoting until CSII was released on console but it doesn’t seem that way :( I’ll miss you BluRaji~ ;_;

– Imai starts talking about her elder brother and Sugita teases her about it, saying this is the cutest he’s seen her act lol.

– A listener sends in a message from England in perfect japanese but Sugita reads part of it out in an english accent lol.

– Sugita sounds like he’s in a good mood.

– When the Ao no Chikara’s corner BGM starts Sugita says “Ah Excel Saga’s starting” Lol he’s commented before that it sounded like Excel Sage and I agree :D

– Mori joins in for the Ao no Chikara corner since it requires four people :O

– This episode’s theme for Ao no Chikara is “Astral Heat for Christmas”

– Mori and Sugita tells Imai that they bought her new album, to which she goes all dere and thanks them lol. Sugita mentions he also bought the Otome Zakura DVD.

– Sugita made a reference to TM Revolution’s “Burning X’mas”

– Mori calls Ueda Kana “Kana-sama” <3

– Sugita says he calls Myu-12 “Ketsudomu”(butt+domu[from Kanako’s nickname ‘Kondomu” since she voices her as well]) due to how much her butt shows in art lol. For Makoto he calls her “Rumble” referencing the slightly ero fighting game “Rumble Roses” which involves scantily clad girls wrestling with each other lol.

– Wow the new character looks really out of place, definitely more of an Arcana Heart character D:

– Sugita said he had trouble talking with Yuuki Aoi since he couldn’t joking scold her or say anything dirty to her as he sees her as a child lol. When Imai suggests that the staff did it on purpose to trouble him he says “That’s not right! You can’t use children as shields!”

– Yuuki Aoi sends in an audio message to the radio \o/

– Yuuki says she loves playing fighting games but hasn’t played BlazBlue before.

– I’ve never heard Yuuki on radio before but wow she was cute (and interesting) here. Hmm I might start looking up some of her radio work… *Looks at Ichiban Ushiro Daimaoh radio with Toyosaki Aki, Hikasa Youko and Yuuki Aoi*)

– Imai was surprised to find out that Yuuki was in University, saying that if she had said she was 10 she would believe her lol. Imai says that she was often mistaken for an elementary school student when she was 19 lol.

– Sugita asks if you can take off Platinum’s clothes in the game lol.

– Sugita uses a Rozen Maiden theme for his ringtone lol

– A revival of an old corner! Moshimo no BlazBlue’s theme was “What would you do if your mobile phone rings while you’re playing BB CSII”

– Sugita say’s that they should do another BluRaji episode in 30 years, which Imai responds by saying “…Will I be alive…?” He then says “Of course you’ll be alive! you’d only be 47 years old!” …17 years old + 30 years? lol

– Seems like Ishiwatari composed the music for the theme of the next BlazBlue sung by Imai.

– They played the song on the show. It’s pretty cool really :O

– Sugita picks out number three for the writing order for Ao no Chikara. He always picks up 3 lol, even he commented on it this time.

– Today’s theme for Ao no Chikara was “Marriage Proposal’s Astral Heat”

– They all spoke pretty much about money lol, except Sugita’s was “without parental permission” They start trying to mend it by saying “Oh but money isn’t everything! if there’s love then that’s all that’s needed!”

Hold on, Arcana Heart Radio? (lol)

It appears that Mikako(Aino Heart) is guesting on BluRaji to promote and support the upcoming Arcana Heart 3 PS3/360 release, her appearance on BluRaji made possible due to the two games having the same developer. I laughed at the hijack though :D.

– Imai greets Mikako with “Payopayo~” lol

– Sugita straight out from the start calls her Mikakong-senpai, to her outcry “DON’T CALL ME MIKAKONG!” Of course Sugita doesn’t relent though lol.

– Mikako complains that she’s been getting mail calling her Kong-senpai due to Sugita lol. Poor Mikako.

– When they’re talking about how much they know about the game, Kanako says she doesn’t know anything about it, Imai says she knows about it but hasn’t actually played it and Sugita says he bought the game and played it… “Because a fighting game with girls only? What a wonderful paradise!” Ahahah.

– Imai and Kanako tell Mikako to try and keep Sugita in check this episode and she joking tells him off, to which Sugita cheekily replies by singing Mikako’s OtoMelody song lol http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=EhDaRR5a-jQ

– Sawashiro Miyuki sends in a voiced message to the radio show as well as to narrate a little quiz to them, but not as BlazBlue’s Carl Clover, instead as Arcana Heart’s new character Weiss. Just guest her on the show already! D:

– For the drawing corner they’re given an image with Aino Heart punching, with them needing to fill out what’s coming from her punch. Mikako draws this blob like thing, to which everyone reacts like it’s poo coming out lol to Mikako’s horror.

She tries to explain herself saying that it’s whipped cream, since Aino Heart loves making cakes and stuff, which doesn’t really help the situation since Sugita then yells out “Oh! I love this idea! I love fighting games where girls cover each other with whipped cream!” LOL SUGITA.

– Apparently next episode’s guest is Ishiwatari Daisuke.

– There were many references to Payo Payo throughout the show lol.

Sugita and Mikako have known each other for almost 10 years and entered the seiyuu industry at around the same time so they’re pretty friendly with each other. I’ve always loved hearing their combination on radio, the Radio StrikerS episode which Sugita guested in with Mikako as the host in particular was hilarious. I didn’t expect to hear it here on BluRaji but hooray \o/ here it is :D

This episode’s guest is Makoto Nanaya’s seiyuu, Isomura Tomomi again, should be a fun episode :D.

– Sugita starts of with an OreImo reference lol. Listener sends in a mail talking about how his dad told him not to play too much H games, and Sugita responds “Wait, no it’s Kirino’s!” hah

– Ehh There’s no Kanako at the start of the episode, but Isocchi starts off with them… Isocchi is replacing Kanako for this episode? …Nope Kanako comes in as a guest as “Lambda’s seiyuu” lol. I’m guessing she was running late or something :O They mentioned something about buying time before she arrived and she came in pretty flustered.

– I think I’ve said this before but I love when Sugita does his Kakihara Tetsuya voice, he sounds so crazy ahaha.

– Sugita asks Imai about her siblings and she says she has an elder brother that she’s always trying for his attention, but he’s all cold to her :O Isomura says she’s a single child.

– When deciding who to pick out the writing order for the four of them first for the Ao no Chikara corner, Imai says “[Whoever think’s they’re]The cutest person here can pick first!” the three girls then hesitate a bit before Sugita goes “Yeah I’ll pick first!”

– Imai announces that Tsubaki will have a song for Continuum Shift II :O

Adding Isocchi into BluRaji is always great. The way Sugita and Isocchi bounces their thoughts and references off each other is happiness :D
