This episode’s guest is Tager’s seiyuu Nomura Kenji. I haven’t actually heard him on radio before so I’m unsure what to expect.

– Sugita makes a Railgun reference at the very start heh.

– Sugita mentions that he was with Nomura in his very first debut role in Cybuster on 1999. (As a side note, Sugita isn’t credited there on ANN so I guess he was a minor character)

– Kanako misread one of the words last time in the description of Kagutsuchi Dojo and the staff changed the script to include her stuff up on paper this time lol. She got teased about it again hah.

– Sugita and Imai whispers “Precure! Heart Catch!” in the background of Noel Poem lol

Nomura Kenji didn’t talk as much in the second half lol, the three of them started talking about other games like Final Fantasy and stuff hah. Nakamura Yuuichi guesting on the next episode. I might listen to it again for fun heh.

New season of BlazBlue radio, the last episode done in a recording studio was on 2009.09.17, over 9 months ago so quite a bit of time has passed. The first episode of BlazBlue Radio was released on 2009.04, it’s nice to see that BlazBlue Radio is still going :D

– They pretend that it’s been over 40 years since BlazBlue radio ended by putting on grandpa and grandma voices lol

– Listener sends in a mail with an image he drew saying he’s only been drawing for half a year and not to expect too much. As if he drew that with only half a year of practiceeeeeeesdlfkadsfjk.

– They introduce a new corner with the new season, one that I already saw in the episode with Nakamura Yuuichi. “Shikan Gakkou Art Classroom” where theyre given a random sketch/scribble and they have to draw something out of it according to a theme.

– This episode has a circle as the base scribble.

– The winner of the corner has their picture stuck up on the background for all the later episodes, to which Imai tries to warn Sugita not to draw anything “funny” lol

– The theme of the corner was “A Man’s Battle”

– Imai drew something to do with figure skating and went on and on explaining her picture and the staff fastforwarded it lol.

– Kanako drew the earth out of the circle.

– Imai wins and has her picture stuck on the back.

– Next is also a new corner “Kore wa Ao no Chikara da” which is named after Ragna’s special move. When Ragna lands a successful special attack as a finishing blow he says a special line. Basically what the corner is about is that they replace certain parts of what Ragna says with their own sentences, each of them looking after a different part of the line. What they replace the lines with depends on what theme is sent in by a listener.

– Sugita says Ragna’s finishing line and the two girls all fawn over him due to how cool he sounded lol. Imai notes that she hasn’t praised Sugita in a while and all she’s been doing on the radio has been getting angry at him lol.

– This episode is longer than usual due to them introducing all the new corners I’m guessing. The next corner is “Tatakae Kagutsuchi Dojo”.

Next episode has Teiga’s Seiyuu Nomura Kenji guesting on the show. It looks like they expect to have guests on almost every episode since one of their corners rely on having a fourth person participating.

– For this episode’s Noel Poem they have everyone writing a different stanza of the poem again.

– Matsuura Chie comes again for the second part of the event :O

– New corner for the event, the 7 of them are given a theme and they have to write down what they think is important to that theme. If two or more people have matching ideas then they take a batsu game. The theme was “Arc System Works’ feelings as a company” lawl. Boring theme :( And they all pretty much gave pretty serious answers.

– They needed to decide someone to recieve the Batsu Game though and Tsuyoshi was chosen due to his harassing hah.

– The batsu game was to stand out in front and say their good points. Tsuyoshi started with “Well a good point? My **** (censored) is big!” ahaha Sugita comments [“You can’t take that lightly D:”]

– Next theme was “What’s essential to a heroine in regards to characteristics”

– Sugita wrote “Your favourite character voice” lol

– Kakihara made a Marmalade Boy reference hah.

– Tsuyoshi and Kana were this round’s batsu game takers. Tsuyoshi because he’s Tsuyoshi, and Kana because Matsuura wanted to have Kana take it lol.

– The next theme was “What’s important to life”

– Sugita wrote “Friends” and drew a picture of Nakamura lol

– Kana wrote “[Game Console] Controller” Ahaha as expected from Kana-sama! “I’ve probably held a controller for 1/3rd of my life…”

– Tsuyoshi’s was censored but I’m pretty certain he wrote “Sex” lol Well that fits I guess ahaha

– Since no one had matching ideas again Matsuura just chose all the male members to take the batsu game lol.

– Sugita said “My eyelashes are long” for his good points lol

– Sugita pretended to be Kakihara’s grandfather backstage after the event hah.

And so ends the live audience Blazblue radio event. Another season of BlazBlue radio starts up a bit over a month after part 4 was released and almost 4 months after the event happened so there’s still that to listen to \o/.

Looks like this episode was recorded later in the evening and is a previous event to the one in the last two parts. There were two seperate live audience events that happened during BluFes it seems.

– First corner is Uro Boe Madou Sho.

– Tsuyoshi is still harassing the poor staff girl lol.

– Kanako stuffs up her japanese and Sugita makes her apologize for it lol

– When talking about everyone’s drawing ability Imai references the time Kana drew something on the show. Kana says that she’s been practicing though :O We’ll see how she goes.

– And here are her practice drawings lol:

– Isomura says she’s good depending on what she’s drawing.

– The theme for the corner was “Bang’s character seen from behind.”

– Kanako as always draws really well :O

– Kakihara draws Bang from behind pretty well… Except naked lol.

– Imai tells Kakihara that she’ll punish him later, to which he replies “Ah gladly”

– Isomura also draws Bang’s bare backside, this time with a fundoshi though lol.

– Tsuyoshi drew him normally except with the fundoshi on top of his clothes :O

– Tsuyoshi starts saying all this dirty material to Imai’s despair though it was all censored :(

– Sugita drew Bang’s behind normally except instead of the nail(kugi) that Bang has he drew an Al Dakimakura (As in the Kugi in Full Metal Alchemist’s Al’s seiyuu Kugimiya Rie lol)

Matsuura Chie wasn’t present in this part, I’m guessing she was only at BluFes for a while and didn’t come to the evening event.

Everyone from the previous part is present. After a brief introduction from everyone at the event backstage it goes to the stage starting with Noel Poem and then to Battle Battle.

– Sugita makes a Honey and Clover reference during Noel Poem. Wait he voiced Mayama in Honey and Clover didn’t he lol.

– This time for Battle Battle the seiyuu are split into two groups instead of everyone vs Sugita. The two groups are the radio hosts vs the guests.

– The theme for this episode’s Battle Battle is “BlazBlue Quiz” in which they answer questions related to BlazBlue. Err If I recall correctly no one in the guest team has played BlazBlue except for possibly Isomura? Kinda one sided I’m thinking D:

– It was Nakamura’s birthday at the time and they congratulate him…. Too bad he’s not there :(

– In the end the guest team won :O

– The batsu game for the losing team was to speak in Taokaka language which is sticking “Nyas” to the end of their sentence lol.

– Matsuura Chie was there as a surprise guest. She read out the quiz questions and spoke for a bit backstage at the end of part two.

And so on to part 3.

Live Audience recording of BlazBlue Radio for Blue Festival (BluFes) split into four parts. They have all 7 people on the stage at once but it’s more like an event with the three hosts as MCs rather than a radio show so it’s not really chaotic.

– Sugita calls out “Kondomu~” after Kanako introduces herself. Imai and Kanako yells at him for doing so lol.

– Imai tells the audience to beware of Koyama Tsuyoshi and whenever he starts to say anything suspicious they are to yell out “ME(h)”

– When Ueda Kana comes on to the stage she greets everyone with “Gokigenyou”. I smell MariMite :O

– Kana is apparently wearing a kimono. She’s worn a kimono to live events a lot recently hasn’t she?

– Imai and Kanako were reluctant to call Tsuyoshi on to the stage and when they finally did he started doing some stripping motions lol

– Sugita says that Kakihara drank many bottles of beer before he came to the event yet looked fine hah.

– First up is Moshimo no BlazBlue.

– Same as the other time they had a live event, they are given comic panels and each of them have to fill in the speech bubbles.

– Incidentally here are what the two panels look like:

– Similar to the previous live event they had, the character seiyuu will be reading out each of their lines. Isomura got really worried about that when Tsuyoshi reacted to that piece of information lol.

First Panel:

# Kanako had Rachel looking at a BL coupling on the screen lol

– The girls start talking about BL and Sugita tells them off saying “Do you think the male audience will be entertained with this material??” lol

# Imai had Rachel hacking into Tsuyoshi’s computer and being terrified of what she saw ahaha. Tsuyoshi’s reaction “Oh you know me pretty well!”

# Lol A lot of Tsuyoshi’s talk explaining his panel was cut out due to dirty material I guess D:

# Sugita did a Hikaru no Go reference lol (when Akira was playing on the computer against Sai I’m guessing. Either that or the other scene when he’s watching Sai play against his father.)

– Tsuyoshi tells Kakihara to dance during the thinking time for writing up the next panel since he “looked free” due to the two of them not writing anything if their characters appeared on the panel, and so Kakihara started pelvic thrusting (I think? lol) Tsuyoshi then comes up and joins him ahaha

– When asked if Kana was an M or an S she replied “M”

– Tsuyoshi kept touching the staff girl whenever she came by to take the panels they wrote on lol. Poor her.

– On the second panel Imai has Bang saying “..So… It’s been 10 years since we’ve married…”

There was only one corner in this part. The rest of the episode was the 7 of them talking backstage for a couple of minutes. It looks like there’s four parts though so there’s still alot more of the event to go \o/

The other Macross F radio episode that has Sugita guesting, about 9 months after his first guesting. For those wondering about the title of the radio show, the show goes through seasons with each season seeing a new set of symbols after the “F” in the title. Additionally, with the start of each show a new title is used, keeping the “Macross” + a second phrase of sentence starting with “F”. This episode’s title was “Macross Fanatic Crisis”.

– Sugita mentions that “He didn’t think that he’d be invited as a guest a second time”

– They mention that during the recording there weren’t many toilet breaks and says that Hoshi Souichiro next to him really needed to go but was holding it in for a long time lol.

– Oh, it looks like it was Kamiya’s birthday, they celebrated it on the show by bringing in cake :O

– This was the second time they’ve celebrated Kamiya’s birthday on the show and Kamiya notes that this was the first time his birthday’s been celebrated more than once on the same radio show.

– Sugita bought Kamiya some sneakers for his birthday. The same ones that Sugita himself wears lol.

I’ve been putting a lot of Sugita x Nakamura stuff here recently… I normally stay away from the whole male seiyuu x male seiyuu fandom but Sugita’s definitely one of the more interesting personalities in the seiyuu world and his friendship with Nakamura is amusing to see and hear about.

Macross Frontier radio hosted by Nakamura Yuuichi (Alto), Kamiya Hiroshi (Mikhail) and Nakajima Megumi (Ranka). There’s always been a lot of talk about Sugita on Macross F radio to the point that the hosts of the show have made up a mock corner named “This week’s Sugita” whenever they start talking about him.

He has always been a guest that listener’s have requested in mail to come on to the show but they haven’t really guested him until this episode, almost two years after they’ve started broadcasting. To this date, they’ve had him guest one more time on 2010.01.28.

– Kamiya seems to be the person who told Sugita about his character on Macross before he auditioned for it, saying he thought the character would fit Sugita.

– When Megumi was asked “What was your first impression of Sugita” She mentions that it was around the recording of the third episode when Sugita randomly went up to her and asked “Hey this is cute isnt it?” while brandishing his shell mobile phone strap:

He then went on to say “Nakamura’s pretty scary isn’t he? But he’s actually pretty shy so there’s no need to be afraid of him” Megumi’s impression of him from that was “Ah he must be a nice person if he’s worrying about us like that”

– They mention that the Macross Frontier Chief Director Kawamori Shouji listens in to the show.

Regardless of what I think of her voice acting ability, Mamegu is pretty cute on radio <3

Special episode released 3 months after the last episode to promote the sequel, Continuum Shift which was coming out at around that time on arcade. Doesn’t seem like there’s a guest but oh well.

– Kanako flinched at being called Kondomu again lol, well I guess she hasn’t been called that for 3 months now hah.

– Sugita adds a character and voice to Tsubaki’s hat. A hat voiced by Wakamoto Norio lol

– Imai says that she loves how much freedom BlazBlue radio has.

– Kanako talks a bit about Calamity Trigger being released on the PSP so perhaps this special is to promote the PSP version as well.

– Imai embarrassedly talks about a time when she was recognised and fanboyed over at a cafe by it’s manager and was really happy when it happened…. And then the cafe manager tells her “There’s curry stuck on your mouth”

– When asked if she’s “had rice stuck on her cheek for a while” before Kanako replies that she hasn’t but she has had rice stuck on her front hair hah. How does that happen?

– For this corner’s Noel Poem seperate people wrote different stanzas. Imai wrote something about not liking christmas so much due to all the couples annoying her, Sugita wrote something about his pet dying from starvation and how life sucks and Kanako writes that Christmas makes everyone’s dreams come true. It makes for a very… Interesting poem lol.

Next up is part one of the live event they held on February 2010. It looks like they have a huge personality list of Sugita Tomokazu, Kondou Kanako, Imai Asami, Isomura Tomomi, Ueda Kana, Kakihara Tetsuya and Koyama Tsuyoshi. I have no idea how it’ll go but we’ll see.

Blazblue Radio was renewed to, what I’m guessing, promote Continuum Shift on the PS3 and XBox 360. I’m not entirely sure though since Continuum Shift was released on July 1st and the radio is still continuing, not to mention it was only up to it’s 3rd episode at that point, perhaps the reason will be given on the first episode.

I skipped ahead to episode 3 due to wanting to listen to Nakamura Yuuichi’s guesting episode, I’ll go back and work through the rest of the episodes after I’m done with this episode.

– Sugita stuffs up reading Nakamura’s name while announcing him as the guest and redoes the introductions from the start.

– In one of the new corners they have an image and they have to finish it off in accordance to a set theme. This episode was a random rectangle with the theme being “Hazama’s important object”

– Imai drew Tetris lol “He might not have many friends… So this could be really important to him”

– Kanako drew a table, where Hazama huddles underneath.

– Nakamura drew Hazama’s glove out of the rectangle. That may be pretty spot on actually.

– Sugita drew a hat rack.

– Nakamura’s picture won, as expected I guess.

– Everyone’s seems to be playing BlazBlue against Nakamura in the next corner. Nakamura hasn’t played before though so the result’s gonna be pretty obvious I’m thinking.

– Kanako wins against Nakamura.

– Imai wins as well. She seems to have been practicing.

– Kanako and Imai comments on how serious Sugita looks while he’s playing. He finishes Nakamura off with a special attack as usual hah.

– Nakamura comments that he doesn’t think he can play Hazama and tries Bang instead. Sugita and Nakamura play again except Nakamura selects Bang and Sugita goes Hazama.

– Doesn’t seem like Sugita knows how to play Hazama so it’s a pretty even match.

– Sugita loses to Nakamura and they comment that Hazama is a pretty hard character.

I enjoyed this episode, Nakamura and Sugita are really close friends after all. Also I just started playing BlazBlue myself so I loved the actual gameplay segments of the show <3
