From Iguchi Yuka no Mu~~~n #17, 2011.01.24

A couple of weeks back Iguchi had randomly seen Asumi Kana in a clothing store, but Asumi had not yet noticed her. Iguchi then snuck up behind her and said “Ah! Are you Asumi Kana?? Can I have your autograph!?” lol.
Asumi was surprised at first and when she turned around she was kinda flustered, then saw it was Iguchi and was like “… Eh. Iguchi…” Ahahah I wish I could see that reaction :D
Incidentally, she’s also bumped into Toyosaki Aki randomly in a clothes store recently as well.
These random encounters usually happen right after work, so I guess it can happen often since they sometimes browse the stores near the studio right after a recording.

Speaking of seiyuu bumping into each other outside work…

I remember an early episode of Macross F Radio where Kamiya Hiroshi and Nakamura Yuuichi mentioned that randomly coming across another seiyuu outside work wasn’t that uncommon quoting a time recently (back when Macross Frontier had just started) where Nakamura was greeted by May’n at a train station, before he even knew her.

He was wondering who this random girl who was openly talking to him was till she noticed he didn’t recognise her, she then introduced herself as May’n and then he realised she was the singer for Sheryl.

Nakamura and Kamiya agreed that it happens rather often due to the work times and places they go to being reasonably similar for everyone in the business.

P.S. Nakamura(+Kamiya) was really surprised how easily May’n came up and spoke to him out of nowhere at the station, and admired her courage for being able to speak to someone she hadn’t met before when she randomly spotted them outside of work. May’n sounds like a wonderful person :D

Hanazawa comments out of nowhere at the start how cute Aoi’s voice is, and Aoi gets all embarassed ahaha

– They read out a survey taken from their generation on what their childhood dream job was and rank #2 was “Seiyuu” lol, to their surprise.

– One of the corners have the two of them listing 3 colloquialisms and things that they think are important from their generation, Kana’s is normal, but Aoi’s has an internet meme in it ahaha. Kana laughs at how weird Aoi is when she explains her lingo and examples where she would use them ahaha.

They comment that this episode marks the half year anniversary of the radio, and Kana says that it also makes it the half year mark of how long she’s known Ayana for.

– They mention they haven’t played games together. What happened to Kana playing Monster Hunter? D:

– They say that the show might go on for another half year :D

– A listener sends in a mail talking about how he loves how raburabu the two of them are and for them to keep it up. They laugh that they’ve got approval from the listeners to fawn over each other as much as they can.

– Dangerous Kana is… Okay!

Ayana: “Recently Kana’s been seeming really dangerous… Well I like that about Kana too~ <3”
Kana: “Really? Is it really okay?”
Ayana: “It’s okay! Well if it really gets bad I’ll just stop you”
Kana: “Yeah just stop me”

– Ayana recommends a yuri game to the listener ahaha.

– Ayana says she watched OreImo with her mum ahaha. Wait she mentioned somewhere else that her mum watched KissxSis as well didn’t she? lol

– Ayana was introduced to BL through her fujoshi friend. She had no idea what it was at first when she bought the manga but when she saw them kissing she was kinda shocked ahaha.

– The two of them comment that they’d love to see a BL cafe lol OTL

– Ayana uses the “suuun~” sound effect :O. I’ve been seeing the “suuun~” onomatopoeia  used quite a bit recently, is this all because of Toyosaki Aki? lol.

– One of the words introduced in the internet lingo corner is “FSS”. Apparently it stands for ”ふとももすりすりしたい”(Futomomo Surisuri Shitai) which means “I want to rub [her] thighs” lol OTL.

– Talking about Gijinka (Personifications of non-human things, such as pokemon into human form sorta stuff).

Kana: “I want to see a Gijinka of Ayana”
Ayana: “Huh? I’m already human… Sorry but I’m a person?”
Kana: “Sorry that was my mistake. Yeah Ayana is a human.”

Looks like they’ll be celebrating Kana’s birthday next episode, should be great :D …Well it’s been out for a while so I already know what’s goes on in it and it is great <3

When Shaolin gets mentioned Aoi doesn’t know what it is, asking if it’s a type of soccer lol OTL. She thought of that because of the movie Shaolin Soccer and they both liked that movie haha.

– Kana says that Aoi would look good in a Maiko(along the lines of a sorta female classical entertainer ) dress, but Aoi disagrees saying she’d look like a kid dressed up for a coming of age ceremony lol. Kana says that Aoi’s small and cute <3

– Apparently Aoi can’t eat mangoes :O. Kana in turn says she can’t eat “Sunagimo” some kind of chicken gizzard.

– Aoi mentioned that she’s pretended to be Sailor Jupiter while playing pretend Sailor Moon and Kana says she pretended to be Tuxedo mask lol. She wanted to be like Ami though :O.

– Kana talked about how the boys in her middle school were really into Yugioh, and while they were playing the girls stood off to the side and commented “Ah.. How childlike…” Aoi jokingly winces and says she played Yugioh too ahaha. She said that boys would yell to each other in class “OI YOU! IT’S TIME TO DUEL!”.

– Aoi says she played Yugioh throughout high school :D.

The radio seems to be planned in a way that has them doing a whole bunch of activities rather than holding conversations with each other. It’s amusing but they don’t really talk too much about themselves for most of it until the ending talk.

Shibuya Anime Land is a radio show on NHK that’s broadcast from 10:15PM to 11 PM. They bring in not just seiyuu but various people connected to the anime industry e.g. the following episode that airs in a couple of days has Yamamoto Yutaka, the director of Kannagi, Fractale, etc. Just naming a few of their guests I see on their record: Tomatsu Haruka, Toyosaki Aki, Tamura Yukari, Hikasa Youko, Chihara Minori, MOSAIC.WAV, etc. The nice thing about these kind of radio shows compared to anime radios between two seiyuu is that you find out a lot about the seiyuu guest as a person… Which is why this post is more like a list of facts about HanaKana rather than the usual radio blurb.

– Kana was just about to have her graduation from University during this time.

– Kana says that Tenshi was a really hard role for her but it was a rewarding experience.

– Kana loves spicy foods.

– They have a pre-recorded message from Maeda Jun :O

– Supposedly there were tens and tens of people who auditioned for Tenshi.

– Apparently the cast had said that Maeda and Kana looked really alike and during an event they lined themself up and even she agreed haha.

Kana: “We were so alike that I was called Maeda’s little sister, Maeda Kana”

– Kana says that Susukihotaru is her ideal woman, she’d like to become like her :D

– After playing the character song with her + Hino Satoshi/Riken she comments that he has a really nice voice :D

– When asked what she thinks about a guy like Riken she says that she likes the clumsy and cool aspect of him… But she doesn’t like his hair lol.

– Kana takes the originals and script with her when she bathes and says her lines aloud in the bathroom :D

– Tomota says he’s a fan of Kana’s singing, and she winces ahaha. He says he loves her Renai Circulation lol.

– She talks about how she spoke with Kousaki Satoru, the composer of Renai Circulation, about how he wanted her to sing the song.

– Kana talks about how the difficult thing about character songs are finding the balance between singing in character and singing in pitch. She loves singing though and she loves her singing work :D

– For her graduation trip Kana went to Nikko.

– Seems like Renai Circulation is popular in Japan even to non-anison lovers :D

– Kana says that she’s had situations where she’s had to do a University report for the next day as well as remember her lines and has done all nighters for them lol.

– She talks a bit about her appearance on a childrens variety show back when she was 5 years old.

Kana: “My mum came up to me with a newspaper and asked me ‘There’s something like this happening… Wanna try it?’ and I said ‘Okay!’ and from there it led into modelling with various clothes, commercials and things like that”

– Kana as a child.

Kana: “I really wanted to stand out and have attention as a kid, I remember one time I gathered all the kids to the swings to tell stories and stuff like that… It’s really embarassing thinking back on it, and I have a lot more memories like that”

– Kana talked with her schoolmates about anime such as FMA, Naruto and Prince of Tennis. She says she loves Shikamaru haha. She also says she liked Hughes from FMA.

– Kana talks about her first seiyuu role when she was 14 in Last Exile. I remember her talking about her first impression of Kitamura Eri and how skilled she thought KitaEri was even though she was the same age as her. It must’ve been during Last Exile. Her first main heroine role was when she was 17 in Zegapain.

– Kana says she added a lot of adlibbing to her character in PoteMayo.

– Kana really loves Kobato’s character and the anime <3.

Yeah the post isn’t really coherent. I haven’t done one of these blurbs in a while since all I’ve been listening to recently is anime radio lol.
Ah I want to listen in to the Toyosaki Aki episode now :(

Kana: “Ah it’s the third episode already, I think I’m getting used to this now.”
Aoi: “Getting used to the show, or getting used to me?”
Kana: “No, no. Well you’re okay Aoi.”
Aoi: “I’ve been told by people that they were pretty surprised by me when they first met me”
Kana: “Well it was kinda shocking at the start”

– Apparently Aoi likes to cook occasionally.

– Aoi says she’s been treated to a lot of meals ever since entering the seiyuu industry and she feels a bit guilty for it. They decide that they need to carry it on and treat their juniors in the future lol.

– Aoi’s never done any part-time work before.

They spent a majority of the episode doing a quiz with each other so I didn’t really write much for this episode =/

The two of them wonder what Capoeira is lol. Aoi asks if it’s a pokemon ahahaha. They start saying “Capoeira!” like a pokemon call :D

– I… Don’t think Kana knows Venice is in Italy lol.

Aoi: “I want to go to Venice and go on a gondola tour! When I was talking about my graduation trip with my school mates I yelled out Venice… And they all looked at me funny”
Kana: “Eh? Why? You should just go if you want to”
Aoi: “Huh? …Venice is in Italy you know?”
Kana: “Ahh…”

– Aoi says she’s a big fan of Pokemon lol

– Ao’s sound effects

Aoi: “If I wanted to go out with my friends but I didn’t have my allowance given to me yet I’d be like *dadaan*”
Kana: “Huh? ‘dadaaan’?”
Aoi: “It’s supposed to be that classic shock horror sound effect *sings it properly*”
Kana: “Ah… I see… Whatever, go on”
Aoi: “Ahh! Don’t ignore it! Tease me for it! I love being teased~!”

Lol OTL. Also I have no idea how to say the sound effect that she says. If you’ve played Peggle before it’s the sound effect of the Spooky Ball… That probably doesn’t help does it? OTL.

– Apparently Aoi’s dad is some kind of manager or head director or something. The details were censored out :O.

– Aoi talked about how much she loved her dad and how cool he was a couple of times throughout the episode lol.

Oh they’re celebrating Aoi’s 18th birthday on the show :O. Her birthday is on the 27th of March. Kana comments how steady she is as a person at 18, saying she was really spacey at 18 ahaha. Yeahhh If you’ve seen Kana at 18 the difference compared to her now is huuuge lol.

Date: 2010.03.19

Radio for the web anime Yutori-chan hosted by Yuuki Aoi and Hanazawa Kana. The name means something along the lines of “Don’t get annoyed by this radio too~”. Episode 0 is a brief 10 minute broadcast with Aoi alone describing the corners and the radio show. Aoi says she was really nervous since she’s doing this on her own, I’m not surprised though, I think this may be the first time she’s done solo radio work.

– Aoi was in the art club during school. She says she loves drawing, and we all know how great she is at it :D

– Apparently episode 0 was recorded just before episode 1, with Kana watching her outside the studio lol

– Aoi had just graduated from high school it seems.

– The two of them mention that they were lots of adlibbing done during the recording of Yutori-chan :O

– Apparently Kana has learnt Aikido :O

Aoi: “That’s really cool!”
Kana: “Yeah, but I wasn’t any good at it, the teacher told me that I should just run away”

– Kana was in the Computer Studies club in middle school :O She said she did absolutely nothing though lol. The biggest thing she did there was learn Microsoft Word.

– Kana’s script has her saying “nyannyan” and Yuuki tells her to repeat it.

Aoi: “This is kinda off topic, but could you say ‘nyan nyan’ one more time?”
Kana: “…nyannyan”
Aoi: “Thats moe. Okay you can continue now”
Kana: “What’s with this conversation…?”

– Aoi says she knows how to program :O Though she’s doubtful that it’ll come into use as a seiyuu lol.

– Aoi tries to pull Kana into gaming haha.

– Kana is allergic to cats and dogs :O

– Kana’s favourite animal is a turtle.

– “Ao-chan you’re a funny person!”

Kana: “Aoi, you’re a pretty funny person!”
Aoi: “Huh? Am I pitiful? *laughs*”
Kana: “Eh? I didn’t say pitiful! *laughs* Yeah, funny!”

– Aoi says she’s a hikikomori, she spends all her free time at home drawing, gaming or on the computer lol.

– Aoi says she really, REALLY loves her work as a seiyuu, and Kana agrees saying that work is fun :D

Aoi: “And I’m much younger than everyone else, everyone spoils me and treats me really nicely!*laughs a lot*”
Kana: *laughs a lot as well*

– Aoi comments that she’s a boke type, and she really loves Kana’s tsukkomis.

Aoi: “We actually make a pretty good combination don’t we?”
Kana: “Yeah we’re pretty in sync”
Aoi: “I’m the type of person who just keeps rolling with the bokes, so your tsukkomis are really great!”
Kana: “Oh, It’s alright for me to tsukkomi?”
Aoi: “Yeah! Be as sharp as you want! In fact I’d be happier if you did!”
Kana: “…You’re quite M aren’t you?”

This is really reminding me of the conversations between Hikasa and Kana lol.

As always the atmosphere was kinda weird at the start since it’s the first time these two have properly had time to talk to one another but they warmed up to each other pretty quickly :D. I’m still really interested in Aoi and her radio work. I love her more with each time I hear her, and her otakuness is wonderful <3. I really enjoyed this episode actually, I might go through the whole thirteen episodes but I’m really overloaded with radio shows right now OTL I haven’t even seen a single IchiUshi radio episode in months lol. We’ll see how it goes.

Date: 2011.03.28

Kana comments that the live recording last episode was really tiring and Hikasa agrees.

– Hikasa says she gets hayfever, and Kana says that she’s seen Hikasa always sniffing lol. You can hear her sniffing and playing with tissues throughout the recording lol.

Hikasa: “I want to hug the tissues, they should just become a part of me”

– Kana says she gets hay fever as well, but this year she seems to be pretty resistant to it. She starts singing the Mario Kart star music, but Hikasa doesn’t recognise it at all, asking if she’s singing some kind of mexican samba music ahaha.

– Kana is a fan of baseball :O The two of them start talking about players and teams for a while lol. Incidentally Hikasa was a centre in middle school first year for her softball club and a shortstop + pitcher in her 2nd year onwards.

– They said that they were given cream puffs as snacks during the anime recording :D They sounded so happy recalling it haha.

– They probably spent almost half the time talking about food and sweets lol. Hikasa comments about this and Kana says “It’s okay, it’s a radio between girls after all” lol.

– The two of them comment that the background environment conversations recorded between the seiyuu for Moshidora were really crazy :O I’m gonna have to keep an ear out for that.

– While talking about getting hit by the ball.

Hikasa: “I’ve been hit on the head by the ball before.”
Kana: “Wow were you okay?”
Hikasa: “Also… Well I want this cut out, put a censor sound for it okay? I was also hit at *beeeep*”
Kana: “Why in the world are you saying this?? Hikasa you’re a girl aren’t you?!”

She probably got hit in her nether regions ahaha.

– A listener says “If Hikasa was a female comedian she she wouldn’t be much different” Hikasa says that things would definitely change but Kana disagrees saying that Hikasa would pretty much be the same haha. She then says that the big difference is because she wouldn’t have become involved with MoshiDora! …And mumbles that she probably wouldn’t act any different lol.

– Hikasa congratulates Kana for graduating from University \o/

– Kana tells Hikasa that this is the first time she’s done a radio with a senior as crazy as Hikasa lol. Hikasa also comments that this is the first time that she’s done a radio with someone who tsukkomis her so sharply haha. Yeah Kana’s pretty strong with her stabs lol. Kana apologises and says to tell her when she hits too hard lol.

Hikasa: “Ah don’t worry, I’m basically an M anyway”
Kana: “I see… Wait! I never asked you about that!”
Hikasa: “So yeah, I’m just happy to take it. You could say I enjoy it”
Kana: “Eh okay so next time maybe I should bring a whip or something”
Hikasa: “Well that would kinda hurt… Just don’t hit the face, I’d be like “Kana, not the face!””
Kana: “What kind of radio would that turn out to be!?”

The tsukkomi boke combination of Kana + Hikasa is so great <3

A new BluRaji special released to promote the new PSP and 3DS release of BlazBlue. The video has been changed to a wide screen format of 16:9 which is where the “Wide” in its name cames from.

– They comment that now it’s on a wide screen they won’t have to be so cramped when a guest comes on heh.

– Listener: “I went to the Guilty Gear x BlazBlue music live, the music was great as well as the band and Koyama’s[Tsuyoshi]… Nipples”

Sugita: “Ah so he did take off his shirt!”
Imai: “Ahh he took off his shirt…”

I think Kanako is mumbling something about how he didnt quite take off his shirt but it looks like something did happen though she doesn’t go into it. I wonder what happened lol. It looks like she was there with Koyama but the other two weren’t.
