Episode 4 of Radio Cross. It looks like they’ve switched back to recording one episode per session again. Or rather the one time they recorded two episodes in one session was an exception. Sakura was as hyper as ever in this episode lol.

– Yahagi calls herself “obasan(old lady)” and Sakura remembers… To go under the table to grab her ankles lol. Yahagi then screams “Oi! Pervert!!” when she grabs her ahaha. Sakura then finds out that she’s wearing boots and throws a tantrum lol. She calls her wearing boots equivalent to bullying her lol.

– Sakura says she only takes 20 minutes to get ready to leave in the morning, to Yahagi’s surprise. Amusingly she doesn’t do anything special in terms or brushing her hair or makeup. On the other hand Yahagi says she wakes up about one and a half to two hours before work to get ready, including commute.

– Yahagi comments that she’s always in a really bad mood when she wakes up and she showers to get rid of that feeling lol.

– The radio had them doing an English test and going over their answers lol. This should be interesting.

– When grading Sakura’s test Yahagi skipped over all the answers that Sakura got right since “It wouldn’t be interesting to hear about”, to Sakura’s outrage lol.

– One of the questions was to translate the English sentence “The house shakes each time a train passes” into Japanese, which Sakura incorrectly translated into: “A train passes in front of a house on occasion”Lol where did the “Shake” disappear to?!

– Another question was translating “I am looking forward to your visit” which Sakura amusingly translated into “I am watching your future so I can appear” lol. “Watching your future”!? Yahagi laughs and says that it sounds really scary.

– Question to translate the Japanese sentence “私、本気です！！/I’m serious!!” into English. Hilariously Sakura translated it into “I am gachinko!” with “gachinko/ガチンコ” being Japanese slang for something along the lines of being eager to compete ahaha. Oi Ayaneru! That’s still Japanese!

– They then switched roles with Sakura grading Yahagi’s paper lol. Incidentally this was what Yahagi’s answer sheet looked like:– Question to translate the Japanese sentence “君は夜型人間ですね。/You’re a nocturnal/night person” into English. Yahagi wrote “You aer night tape man.” complete with the spelling error lol.

Sakura(reading out in English): “You are… Night tape man” *Bursts out laughing*
Yahagi: I’m great aren’t I?! I put a lot of thought into this!
Sakura: If this was to translate into Japanese it would be “You are a night tape person” *laughs* What in the world is that?!
Yahagi: Right! It’s a person who stays up late with his tapes!
Sakura: That’s seems like a really suss person!
Yahagi: But I got it right didn’t I?!
Sakura: Saying all nocturnal people are like that is rude to them!
Yahagi: No wait! It’s just that this particular person happens to be like that!
Sakura: This particular person?!
Yahagi: Yeah!
Sakura: Umm for “tape” did you actually mean to write “type”?
Yahagi: *laughs* Err… No! I meant tape! Since tape is right!
*Sakura bursts out laughing*
Sakura: Type is spelt with a “y”~
Yahagi: I know!! I wanted to write tape!! D:<

Yeah right Yahagi!

– For the “私、本気です！！/I’m serious!!” into English question Yahagi wrote “I am maji!!” with “maji/マジ” once again being Japanese slang for “serious” ahaha. Oi Yahagi you ate her out for putting “Gachinko/ガチンコ” but you yourself didn’t answer much better than Sakura!

– Yahagi reasons that she got the questions wrong because it’d be more interesting that way. Yeah right Yahagi!!

– Amusingly if you look at the image of Yahagi’s answer sheet you can see a question asking to translate “How do I get to Hamamatsuchou[A place in Tokyo]” into English and rather than translating it Yahagi wrote directions to Hamamatsuchou instead ahahaha.

– In the end I think Sakura did better in the test than Yahagi haha.

Most of the episode was taken up with the grading of the tests but it was hilarious <3 I love it when seiyuu struggle with English ahaha >:D

My dream combination comes true!! Iguchi brings her fellow ROKYUBU members Hanazawa Kana and Hikasa Youko on to guest! \o/ Interestingly enough, Iguchi had asked the two of them herself on short notice at a rehearsal if they were free to come guest :D

– Hikasa laughs that they look like they have beards in Iguchi’s drawing of them haha.

– Iguchi jokingly calls the three of them the “Adult Team” within ROKYUBU lol.

– Hikasa’s legs…

Iguchi: Kana-chan has mostly cute costumes but Hiyocchi has really sexy costumes!
Hikasa: Really? Are they really that sexy?
Kana: They so are sexy!
Iguchi: Really!
Hikasa: I’m really scared of how short the skirt is though… *laughs*
Iguchi: Yeah it really is short isn’t it.
Kana: Well you’re all about your legs though! *laughs*
Hikasa: What are you saying?! *laughs*
Kana: Hiyocchi you’re all legs!
Hikasa: “I’m all legs”?! Don’t say that!
*The three of them laugh*
Iguchi: But really, your legs are SO pretty!
Kana: Yeah!
Hikasa: …Really? …Thanks…

– Iguchi’s costumes…

Kana: Yuka-chan has a lot of yellow costumes doesn’t she?
Iguchi: Yeah due to Maho’s colour being yellow and all. And my costumes have me baring my shoulders very often.
Hikasa: You’re pretty much half naked!
Iguchi: …What?!
*The three of them laugh*
Iguchi: Say that again!
Hikasa: You’re h-a-l-f n-a-k-e-d!
Iguchi: Whaat?! Wait I mustn’t have heard right again! Say it again!!
Hikasa: It’s like you’re wearing a bath towel!
*The three of them burst into laughter*
Iguchi: As if I am!!
Kana: But she does have a point!
Iguchi: Well how about this! If Hiyocchi bares her lower body I’ll bare my upper body!
*The three of them screech in laughter*
Kana: Oi! Don’t do that!!
Hikasa: But really! When I’m next to her I’m thinking “Ah… Why is this person always half naked?”
*Three of them laugh*
Kana: You’re really thinking that?!
Hikasa: I’ve been thinking about talking about that during the MC portions.
Iguchi: I’m really getting embarrassed by this now!
Hikasa: It’s pretty much the exact same thing as a bath towel!

LOL These three are so close to one another~ It’s so wonderful to see a no holds barred conversation like this <3

– The three of them get pretty sad thinking about ROKYUBU ending with the tour and that they’ll really miss seeing each other for practice and stuff when it finishes ;_;

– The three of them dance to a ROKYUBU song there :D It’s really cute… But halfway through Hikasa stuffs up and she runs up to the camera and goes crazy while the other two follow ahaha.

– Kana brings in a magazine with a photoshoot where Hikasa’s doing a funny pose with a flower and the three of them laugh about it lol.

– Hikasa brings in a… Oppai/butt mousepad with Hinata’s character on it and the three of them laugh at how perverted it is lol. What are you doing bringing that in Hiyocchi?!!? Amusingly Hikasa brought it in because she thought the mousepad using the character’s butt instead of their chest was a pretty new thing ahaha.

– For some reason Hikasa was given that mouse pad by the ROKYUBU staff and had thought that everyone else was given one… She then found out that she was the only one given one ahaha.

– The three of them start wondering if they could have this setup for Kana’s solo radio as well :O That would be greattt. It probably won’t happen though :(

– The three of them make fun of each others poses in the upcoming ROKYUBU photobook lol.

– Wow apparently Kana’s upcoming photobook was shot in Switzerland :O

I really loved this episode （*´▽｀*）. The three of them really are close with one another~ They really seemed like they were having so much fun just speaking with each other there <3. I really love the combination of these three, I want more!

Itou Kanae’s new solo radio. The radio started on April, airs monthly on the 4th of every month and is one of only two radio shows that Kanae is currently regularing in. An interesting thing about the show is that other seiyuu and singers send in a prerecorded message and question for Kanae every episode, this episode had Nomizu Iori, Chihara Minori, Mieno Hitomi, Minami Kaori and Mizuki Nana send in their messages.

Amusingly Kanae is a HUGE fan of nano.RIPE and she was fangirling over Kimiko throughout the episode~ <3

– Question from Mizuki Nana. Note: Nana’s not actually there, it’s a prerecorded message in which you can hear Kanae reacting to as it plays:

Nana: About Autumn fashion! Are there any type of clothes that Kanae-chan would like to challenge yourself with and try on? I myself get to try on a lot of clothes I don’t usually wear when I dress up for my live concerts as well as photoshoots and events like that but the most memorable one would be…. A maid-type costume that was really cute!
Kanae: Ahh that would look great on her!
Nana: And it wasn’t like a normal maid costume too! The back and the shoulders were completely bare, it was a pretty daring costume *laughs*
Kanae: Oooh! That’s great!
Nana: I’d love for another opportunity for me to wear it to come again. Which brings me back to my question! What kind of clothes would Kanae-chan like to try on?
Kanae: Umm… About fashion… I… Really have no interest in it at all *laughs* How should I answer the question?! Umm… Well… *laughs* I really know nothing about all the brands and things like that… When I go shopping I don’t really have a shop in particular I go to, I just enter them randomly and browse around and if I find anything I like I just buy it *laughs* Umm how should I answer her?? Ah! But lately I’ve been seeing a lot of cute hats around! I’d love to try on a fluffy hat sometime!

– Kimiko and Kanae mention that though this is the first time they’ve talked on radio, they’ve spoken to each other often as well as met up on occasion to go eat :D

– Bonbori Festival!

Kanae: Oh! Good work at the Bonbori Festival! I had my own event at around that time but… I snuck into your live to watch~ *laughs*
Kimiko: *laughs* I know! I saw you from the stage~!
Kanae: I’ve been going to your lives quite a bit! I love your songs! I love them so much!
Kimiko: Thanks~

– The first time they met was over a year ago at a rehearsal. Kanae remembers that she was watching them with Noto Mamiko. Kimiko laughs that she remembers that as well, thinking at the time “Ah we’re being watched!”

– Kanae already had nano.RIPE’s songs on her iPod at the time and had shown Kimiko that their songs were in there.

– The radio had Kanae and Kimiko fish some water balloons out of a pool lol. After failing a couple of times the two of them reasoned that the staff must have made the balloons too heavy lol. They then held one and realised that… They’re actually really light ahaha. In the end they didn’t manage to fish any out except for one time where they cheated and used two strings instead of one, which is what you see in the above photo lol.

– Kanae commented that the pool was really cute <3

– Kanae laughs that her memories of baseball is composed of… Being unable to watch anime when they program gets extended on TV and cut into the other program’s broadcasts lol. Kimiko laughs and agrees.

– Kimiko played Baseball in elementary school and then Softball in High School. Amusingly her family was really into baseball, her dad was the manager for a team and her brother also played. She mentions that she can probably throw a ball at 80 km/h.

Kanae really fangirls over nano.RIPE and Kimiko throughout the whole episode lol. She apologizes at the end if she was too creepy haha. The two of them are pretty friendly though, Kimiko says that coming on to guest feels more like she visited Kanae to play rather than for work and they agree that it feels like the times when they go out together, except with microphones lol. Kimiko laughs that she wants to come on next episode, even if she’s not invited haha. I wonder if she’ll actually show up :O.

The two guests are the author of the original light novels and it’s artist and character designer. They had originally planned to come on episode 7 but due to the earthquake that happened at the time they couldn’t make it.

– Shimoda laughs that Hikasa always makes funny faces to the camera :D

– Do you ever think “Let’s kill them!”? (One of Lin’s lines)

Shimoda: Not really… We’re nice after all~
Hikasa: Yep yep! We’re angels! *holds hands together and looks to the sky… Then snorts in laughter*

– Who do you like the most out of the characters?

okiura: If I’m limiting it to the heroines only… I’d choose Houki, I have the most memories with her.
*Hikasa rejoices*

Yumizuru: They’re like my children! I love them all for their uniqueness.

Shimoda: So which one do you like the best?!
Yumizuru: Well… If I had to pick one…. Maybe…. Chifuyu?

– The radio had okiura draw Lin and Houki for them right there.

– Upon hearing how well the DVD/BluRays have been selling the two of them say “Let’s just do a second season now!” YESS I’M WAITINGGGG

– Interestingly enough they had the confession corner handled by Yumizuru for this episode and he wrote a confession from Houki and Lin’s character using the themes pulled out of the box. They then had the two seiyuu read them out in character.

Episode 8 of RADIO IS. Interestingly enough the radio actually fully intended to end on it’s 7th episode, the last episode but due to the radio’s popularity they had it extended. I’m so glad it didn’t end at it’s 7th episode :D

– Laughing at Houki’s role in the anime…

Hikasa: She’s like air! Always around, you don’t notice her but you need her!
Asami: She didn’t even wear a swimsuit!
Hikasa: She did at the very end so it’s fine!
…
Hikasa: Since everything’s been aired we can talk about anything we like now! …Like Houki! She was great in that last episode wasn’t she! Finally something to show that she’s the main heroine! *laughs*
Asami: Yeah for the past 7 or so episodes you were fretting about that weren’t you? *laughs*
…
Asami: And what about Lin?!
Hikasa: Err well.. For a couple of episodes at the start she was strong… Then she kinda disappeared *laughs*
Asami: …Yeah.

– Hikasa mentions that the first time she met Uchiyama Kouki was the recording for the Infinite Stratos PV.

– Hikasa laughs that their audio commentary for an episode of IS with Shimoda Asami was pretty chaotic lol.

– Asami laments that although the radio show has been extended past the 7th episode, she wishes the length of each episode had been extended as well and Hikasa agrees. That would be great D:

– Confession Corner! Hikasa’s turn with the theme “Cell Phone Strap”

Hikasa: With you as the cell phone, and me as the strap we’ll always be together! But if the strap breaks we’ll break apart! No!!! *lies back and dies of embarassment*

Next episode looks like it has the original author Yumizuru Izuru and and the light novel’s artist okiura as guests coming on to the show. Interesting, I wonder how it’ll turn out :O

Sakura : Are you having trouble?? Are you?! *evil laugh*
Yahagi: Well… That’s what everyone’s saying…
Sakura : Are you?! Are you?!
Yahagi: …Yeah
Sakura : What should I do!? *links arms with her*
Yahagi: I guess you should just keep trying your best…?

Sakura has no intention of stopping ahaha.

– Listener sends in mail saying that Sakura is a big fan of Yuri. Note: Sakura is still linking arms and holding hands with Yahagi.

Yahagi: Umm Sakura-san? The mail says that you’re a big fan of yuri?
Sakura: I guess so. If I really had to say it, then yeah.
Yahagi: Really??
Sakura: Yeah!
Yahagi: Ehh… Really now…? *Tries to unlink arms with Sakura lol*
Sakura: Yep! *Tries to hold on to her arm and when Yahagi finally frees her arms, puts her arm around Yahagi’s shoulders instead ahahaha*

– Upon finding out that Sakura hasn’t seen Sailor Moon before Yahagi gets really surprised and tells her to go watch it lol.

– Apparently Sakura was a tomboy as a child and she only watched boy oriented cartoons and shows, she wanted to watch girl oriented cartoons but she was too embarassed to haha.

Sakura’s getting crazier and crazier with each episode lol. Keep at it Yahagi! Do your best! Lol.
