Aki says that the radio is supposed to go for only 30 minutes but for some reason keeps getting longer and longer haha. Incidentally this episode is 58 minutes lol. Aki seems to be in a great mood this episode right off the bat :D

Aki: “We’re here to energise everyone up and make them happy!”
Hikasa: “Yeah! Everyone! are you with us?!”
Aki: “Eh?”
Hikasa: “Are you all getting happier with us!?”
Aki + Hikasa: “YEAH!! Everyone is!”
Aki: “…Though the only voices we can hear are us two haha”

– Eating snow

Hikasa: When I was a child I used to love eating snow all the time!
Aki: “Yeah same! I do it even now!”
Hikasa: “Ehh it’s really dirty you know?”
Aki: “ewghh what seriously?!”
Hikasa: “It’s on the same level as mud”
Lol if I remember correctly Kotobuki Minako also said something about loving to eat snow.

– The staff has taken their quotes to make sound effects out of their voices lol. Hikasa Sound Effect: “GEFUUUUUN!” Hikasa: “What in the world was that just now?”

– A listener sends in a mail saying that so much of their talk gets edited out and was wondering if they would do a live recording so people could hear what they talk about in full. Hikasa says that the stuff they talk about gets pretty dangerous so they were probably cut out for a good reason lol. I wonder exactly what does get cut out. Curses I say this all the time don’t I? OTL

– Aki says she relistened to their radio episode with Faylan as a guest haha.

– Activity where they have to think up lines that their characters will never say.

Aki: “‘Ahh… I bought one that’s too big for me…‘”
Hikasa: “…?”
Aki: “…”
Hikasa: “….Too big for her?”
Aki: “Remember back to that shopping episode in the underwear section”
Hikasa: “Ahh!! I see!”
Aki: “For Tomo there’ll be ones too small, but she’ll never get one that’s too big!”
Hikasa: “I see I see!”
Aki: “Well I won’t say what exactly is too big though!”
Hikasa: “Well it’s that isnt it? That, this, it!”

– Reflecting on what they could’ve improved on in the radio this episode

Hikasa(in english lol): “Today… Speak… Long”

Haha, she’s trying to say that they went overtime again I guess.

Aki: “Today… Me… No… Adlib? Bun… Super… Subetta“

Well she’s trying to say she stuffed up in the adlib portion of the radio episode lol, but the “bun” and “subetta” are japanese for “portion” and “stuffed up/slipped” respectively hah.

QwaRaji is probably the most energetic, craziest, screaming-filled radio I’ve listened to lol.

Date: Recording date – 08.03.2011; Broadcast date – 14.03.2011

Rather than a normal radio episode it’s a recording of a live audience event for Moshidora with Azusa + Momo(the OP and ED singers respectively) coming to guest. This episode came out on the 14th, after the earthquake but the actual event was held a couple days earlier on the eighth.

– The two of them comment that having a live audience event on the second radio episode is kinda weird. No wonder it feels more like an anime event rather than a live audience radio recording.

– Kana comments that Hikasa is a moodmaker, wherever she is she livens the place up <3. Hikasa always reacts badly when being praised so you can hear her getting flustered ahaha.

– Hikasa makes a whole bunch of funny faces to the audience to make them laugh and Kana lightly scolds her for it
Kana: “Hey you’re an actress you shouldn’t do faces like that!”
Hikasa: “Ah Kana scolded me in place of my manager”
Lol I’m pretty sure I’ve heard Hikasa talking about her manager scolding her about how she acts a couple of times before too lol

– Momo is apparently 14 years old lol. Wow the audience is going crazy over her ahaha OTL. Her voice is really cute though <3

– Momo’s also there in a school uniform lol.

– They say that Momo’s voice while singing is completely different to her speaking voice. Hikasa thought she was an older woman when she first heard the song and was really surprised to find out Momo was 14 years old.

– They start asking the guests a series of questions:

– Where is your hometown?
Azusa’s hometown: Amami-Oshima
Momo’s hometown: Hokkaido

– Reason for entering the music industry
Azusa: “Before I realised it I was already singing
Momo: “I’ve loved singing ever since I was small”

– Do you use slippers at home or are you barefoot?
Kana: “What in the world are you asking?!”
Hikasa: “I don’t know! It’s written here!!”
Azusa: “Slippers for the kitchen”
Momo: “Barefoot everywhere!”
*Audience cheers at Momo declaring her barefeetness*
Kana: “Oi! Don’t go crazy over that!”

– What do you think about Moshidora?
Azusa: I think the stuff in there can really come into use.
Momo: I agree!

– When you clean your ears do you use swabs or an earpick?
Kana: “Huh? Again, what is with these questions?!”
Azusa: “I don’t use any of them!”
Kana+Hikasa: “What? Wait then how—- Ah, wait we’ll ask about it later”
Momo: “Cotton Swabs!”

– Apparently Azusa started composing and creating her own songs from when she was in her first year of high school.

– Continuing from the ear cleaning question: Azusa uses her finger to clear her ears. Hikasa asked Kana and Kana turned out to use swabs as well. Hikasa also uses swabs.

– What club were you in at school?
Azusa: “In elementary school I was in the Kendo club for three years from third year to sixth”
Momo: “Elementary school I was in the dancing club. Now I’m in the go home club”
Hikasa: “Softball Club”
Kana: “I was the vice president in the student council”
I knew Hikasa was in the Softball club but I didn’t know Kana was the vice prez for the student council :O Unexpected.

– Hikasa has tongue twisters posted up in her bathroom :O How dilligent \o/.

The Hanazawa+Hikasa combination is great <3 I really enjoyed this episode, MoshiDoRadio is a really fun listen :D

The two of them comment how long they went on for last episode. Judging by their conversations I’d have to guess that it went on for over 1 hour 30 minutes lol. QwaRaji was originally supposed to be a 30 minute radio as well I think. Haha. Aki says she listened to the radio at home and laughed at how long their pre-guest talk lasted, saying they should try and hurry it up.

– Aki tells Hikasa that she’ll give her chocolates for Valentines day :D. Hikasa thanks her… And then says she’ll give her a sweet she has just on hand right there.
Aki: “Ehh what? You just happened to have that on you, you didn’t even prepare that for me… Well I love it anyways”
Hikasa: “I’ll look forward to getting something back for white day!”
Aki: “Ehh, fine I’ll get you something for white day then…”

– A listener sends in a mail asking what the two of them did during their schooldays at lunchtime.
Hikasa: “Well.. Even though I’m like this now… Back then I was a pretty dark and quiet person… I shut myself up in the library”
Aki: “What, wait a moment, no way!”
*Two of them laughs*
Hikasa: “It’s true! I was the on Library executive committee!”
Aki: “No way!! I thought you’d be in the cheering committee or something!”
Hikasa: “I ate my lunch in the library.”
Aki: “What’d you do there?”
Hikasa: “Well, read books. Borrow books. That’s pretty much how my lunch breaks went”
Apparently Hikasa was pretty crazy before high school as a kid during elementary school though.

– What about Aki?
Aki: “Well even though I said all that… During lunch breaks I stayed by myself and listened to my walkman”
Hikasa: “We’re pretty depressing aren’t we” *They both laugh* “This is sad!”
Amusingly enough the listener had sent in the mail asking for advice on how to socialise with the people around him more during lunchtime breaks. They laugh that they probably didn’t help him with that haha.

– Aki says she absolutely hates the taste of mustard. Hikasa in turn says she hates wasabi.

– A listener asks about what they think the character’s Souma would taste like. Lol is that sexual harassment? OTL. He then suggests that they could release an energy drink labeled as a character’s Souma and Aki says she thinks she had this conversation during one of the recordings with other seiyuu lol. She says she’d love to do a character advertisement for it ahaha.

– What would the character’s Souma taste like?
Aki: “Tomo’s would taste like… Mammy! (A fruit juice drink)”
Hikasa: “That’s really really sweet!” (considering Souma is supposed to be breast milk lol)

Hikasa: “What about Hana?”
Aki: “Er… Welll… Dr Pepper?”
Hikasa: “Wait what? Why?! That would be really shocking”
Aki: “Well you know how her character has like orange hair and all…”
Hikasa: “Yeah…”
Aki: “It just seems like… Pepper.”
Hikasa: “Hahaha what?!”

– They mention that they’re 30 minutes over at the 30 minute mark meaning that this episode has also been cut in half.

I’ve been thinking this for a while, with the way they play around with the ero aspects of the anime perhaps the girls actually love doing perverted anime ahaha.

The two of them comment that they’ve been meeting up really often in recordings. They also say that they can just talk and talk and talk and never stop lol. It’s nice to see them get along so well :D

– Apparently they’ve been catching the anime as it airs at the late hours of the night lol.

– Aki had a boy she liked in kindergarten and made chocolates with her mum to give to him on Valentines day, and after making it and bringing it, she never mustered the courage to give it to him during the day, then when the end of the day had come, she was waiting at the school gate and saw him pass through. She panicked and thought “This is my last chance to give it to him” and threw the chocolate at him ahaha.
Aki: “And that’s how my first love went.”
Hikasa: “What kind of tsundere girl kind of action is that??”

– The first thing Minori says is “Wow what an interesting radio this is!” she had come in 17 minutes into the recording so I guess she was listening for the whole time while the two of them went crazy haha.
Aki: “Ah thanks. Hearing that from Minorin-san makes me really happy *creepy laugh* heheheheheheh—”
Aki + Hikasa(joins in): “—Hehehehehehetehepero!”
Lol these two are so in sync.

– Minori comments that Aki’s hairstyle is more mature now, compared to before, which I’m guessing that she’s referring to when they had worked together on Minami-ke.

– Hikasa(reading from Minori’s profile): “The animal Minori is most similar to is a cat”
Aki: “Cat ears would fit her! <3”
Minori: *giggles*

– Talking about Minori’s character, the first thing Minori says:
Minori: “She gives out Souma!”
*pause*
*The three of them break out laughing*
Ahaha they really love the whole Souma thing don’t they~

– The two of them ask Minori about her upcoming album, “Sing All Love” to her surprise. She asked to make sure if it was alright to talk about her own solo singing stuff on the radio heh.

– Aki praises Minori’s singing, and says that when she found out she would be singing the ending with her, Hikasa, Hirano and Ayumi she was really relieved, knowing that it would surely turn out alright. I love how free Aki is with her fangirling and love~ <3

– Minorin was only on for 10 minutes or so out of the 50 minute recording :(

– At the 30 minute part they comment that they’ve been talking for over one hour already. Wow just what did they cut out to halve the recording? It looks like it might’ve been a majority of Minori’s guesting time. Perhaps the Souma talk was just the tip of the iceberg of how much ero talk they did ahaha.

– The radio had been airing fortnightly before this point and switches to a weekly broadcast after this episode.

– Aki was talking about how Minori had left after bowing and thanking everyone for their work and closed the studio door behind her… But then the door soon opened again and she came in to pick up her bag since she forgot to bring it along ahaha. Aki loved how cute that was <3

Everytime I listen to QwaRaji after having not heard it for a while, the amount of craziness and yelling/screaming these two do always overwhelms me ahaha. It’s so great <3

Radio for the upcoming anime series MoshiDora hosted by Miyata Yuuki’s Hanazawa Kana and Kawashima Minami’s Hikasa Youko. It looks like it’s on a fortnightly airing schedule. I’ve been looking forward to hearing it ever since I found out about it since I love Hikasa and Kana’s radio work <3

– The two of them talk about how they’ve never hosted a radio together, though they’ve appeared in many shows together. Kana says she was looking forward to it :D

– Kana calls her annoying after Hikasa says her first name weird
Hikasa: “Oh keep going with the come backs, I won’t break down that easily!”

– Poor Kana has moments where she has no idea how to react to Hikasa’s antics lol, and Hikasa just laughs it off.

– They celebrated Kana’s birthday on the radio \o/ Kana must’ve had her birthday celebrated like 10 seperate times already haha.

– Kana had to read out the anime story introduction in english, and failed lol. Hikasa then had a try at it and didn’t fare much better ahaha.

– Hikasa apparently was in the softball club back in school.

– The show has them reading out various introductions about the show in a theme they pull out of a box, such as “Like a rapper” or “While laughing”. Ahaha poor Kana pulled out the rapper and Hikasa got the laughing one and did great :D

– The two of them say that Hikasa’s character is really similar to Hikasa’s personality.

– Oh Hikasa has a driving licence :O
Hikasa: “You didn’t expect me to have one right? Yeah well my driving teacher said to me ‘When you have an accident I don’t think it’ll be a scrape, it’ll probably end with an explosion'”

– Kana says she hopes the radio will continue for a long time so she can level up her tsukkomi skills with Hikasa lol, though Hikasa says she did some great tsukkomis today already.

I really enjoyed the radio :O I’ll probably keep up with it.

Once again the script has them referring to each other has Toyohiko and Geru lol. Aki seems really excited to have Faylan as a guest :D

– Hikasa kept stuffing up the reading of the latest episode of Seikon’s summary and the staff kept putting batsu noises in whenever she did it, putting her off even more so lol.

– Aki screams and confesses to her right off the bat when Faylan comes on ahaha

– Faylan: “This radio seems really fun and lively!”
Aki + Hikasa: “Huh?”
Faylan: “It seems really fun!”
Aki: “:O I’m making that my ringtone!”

– Aki lays the love on her really thickly to which she’s really happy to hear ahaha.
Faylan: “I’m just a rookie singer so I’m really glad to hear it!”

– Aki: “I’ve bookmarked her site! ….Am I creeping you out?”

– Looks like Faylan’s seen Seikon lol, her favourite character is Tomo. Lol I’m amused she’s seen Seikon.

– Aki comments that Faylan smells nice ahaha. Aki you’re definitely skirting the creepy boundary there.

– Aki: “Did you enjoy your time on the show?”
Faylan: “I really enjoyed myself! I was energised by the two of you’s youth! I received a lot of Souma* from you two.”
Aki + Hikasa: “Yeah! Souma!! Suck it from us..!! …Ahh… errr welll ehh..(mumble)(mumble)”
Aki: “If we keep going this might turn in to sexual harassment so I’m going to stop us here.”
Faylan: “Yeah lets stop here.”
(*For those who know next to nothing about Seikon, Souma is breast milk sucked from girls to provide power for character’s abilities)

– Aki: “Say someone you’d like to come on as a guest”
Hikasa: “…Er… Hirano Aya”
Aki: ?
Hikasa: “Because she’s really cute”
Aki: “Yeah she is really really really cute”
Hikasa: “Also Sasha’s seiyuu Sanpei Yuko”

– Once Faylan leaves, Aki says that she’s glad she stopped the souma thing with Faylan there, she was just about to burst out with the comment “But Faylan’s souma is so much better!” and said she would have definitely have regretted it afterwards ahaha.

– Chihara Minori as guest on next week’s episode!!!!!

I haven’t heard Akkyo in a while. I need to remedy this.

Hanazawa Kana guest~~~ Since it’s a video broadcast you can see where they edit and cut parts out of the episode. I wonder what we’re missing out on lol. Kana’s been doing a whole heap of radio work recently <3

– The two of them had caught the same train to the studio, though from different studios without planning to meet up.

– Kana stuffed up her character name when she came in ahaha.

– Hikasa makes fun of Kana’s shirt lol.

– Kana says that she’d love to try crossdressing, and the other two agree.

– Kana and tsukkomi’ing
Kana: “Sometimes I don’t know how to tsukkomi Hikasa…”
Hikasa: “You do some really great tsukkomis though”
Shimoda: “Yeah, she seems like the tsukkomi type”
Hikasa: “The ones that hurt are the best ones, just do those. They feel great. Because I’m M.”

– Kana had to make a confession using “Nattou” lol “I hope we can have a relationship where we stick to each other like nattou~” lol. This corner is just here to embarrass the poor seiyuu ahaha. She chucks the paper at the camera :D

Radio for the Infinite Stratos anime a week before the TV broadcast hosted by Hikasa Youko(Shinonono Houki) and Shimoda Asami(Lin Yin Fang). Interestingly enough the radio is video recorded, I can’t even remember the last time I’ve seen an anime radio with a video recording on every episode, actually has there ever been one? :O

– Asami had some make up problems mid way through the show and they paused the radio so she could take care of it lol.

– The two of them laugh at how hard it is to say Hikasa’s character’s name. “Shinononononononononono” (lol) Also “Sharuru”rururururu.

– They comment that there are lots of tsundere characters in the anime.

– One of the corners have listeners sending in reasons why they think the main character is the only boy who can pilot the IS. The things the two of them mentioned were
Hikasa: “Maybe he’s physically weak or something?”
Asami: “Maybe he’s actually a girl!”
Also: “The IS are attracted to girls… But sometimes they have the urge to go for a boy every now and again” ahaha.

– Hikasa calls her “Pon” from her nickname “Asapon” lol her name’s pretty much gone at that point.

– At the end Asami is made to say a confession picked randomly from themes inside a box. This episode was “Chocolate”
Asami: “Rather than chocolate, please take my sweet love instead!” *hands paper to the camera*
*Asami dies of embarassment while Hikasa goes silent*
Asami: “Oi say something!!”
*Hikasa stays silent*
Asami: “Say something!!!” *Radio cuts off and ends there lol*

It’s a pretty fun radio show, I’m not sure if I’ll follow it every episode but I’ll keep an eye on it . Shimoda and Hikasa get along pretty well with each other. Well actually is there anyone that Hikasa doesn’t get along well with? :O

This radio has been airing weekly since April 2009, what’s surprising about it is that the radio show goes on for 3 hours from 5PM to 8PM, with each hour separated into “Terms” meaning Term 3 is the third hour of the show at 7PM to 8PM. The show gets plenty of different types of guests varying from singers like Shimokawa Mikuni to seiyuu (such as Nakahara Mai, Nakajima Megumi, Nonaka Ai; seems to be a quite a variation in the seiyuu they get, but I don’t think they’ve had many, if any, male seiyuu come on), though each of them only stay for an hour. I can’t imagine how tiring it would be to host a talk show for over three hours OTL. I think there have been only two guests who’ve stayed for the whole three hours, Taketatsu Ayana and Yahagi Sayuri.

– Question to Aki:
What song do you often sing seriously at Karaoke?
Aki: “‘Don’t say lazy’ maybe?*smirk*”
Hikasa: “OI!! Are you making fun of me?!?”

– Aki says she loves going to karaoke on her own and putting in her own songs or K-ON songs for practice to lift her mood and energise herself, such as before events and stuff. Hikasa agrees that she loves doing that too. Oogame doesn’t seem to like the idea of going to karaoke alone though lol.

– Talking about scribbling and doodling.
Hikasa: “Aki seems like the type of person who loves doodling.”
Aki: “Yeah, I do doodle a lot, I’ve scribbled your face plenty of times~”
Hikasa: “Ehhh Stop doing that”

– Hikasa and Oogame mentions that they went to the Sphere concert around this time :D

– Hikasa compliments Aki on her singing and she gets embarrassed, in turn making Hikasa embarrassed as well and it becomes pretty raburabu <3.

– Aki says that the art for the cover and booklet in “Love Your Life” was drawn by her. Well even if I write it here, I guess it’s public knowledge especially since she’s credited as the illustrator on the jacket.

Aki was promoting her new single ‘Love Your Life’ which was released 3 days prior to the show. This episode aired about 1 month before QuaRaji aired. Also if anyone keeps track of my Soup, this is the episode I mentioned that, after Aki left, they had Hikasa do a certain batsu game involving a convenience store and the purchase of a few “other items” lolol. OTL

Darker Than Black Backstage Pass #6

Radio for the second season of Darker Than Black. It turns out that Hanazawa Kana had a bad cold at the time of it’s recording, she had a mask on as well as that nose-blocked voice and emphasized to the other two, Hidenobu Kiuchi and Fukuen Misato, to stay far away from her so as not to catch it. Also I’m probably being a terrible person for saying this but… KANA WAS SO ADORABLE IN THIS EPISODE <3 <3 OTL

Juuninin no Yasashii Koroshiya SideR #8

Radio hosted by Sugita at around late 2008. This episode had Fukuyama Jun as a guest.

– The first time Fukuyama Jun had met Sugita was when they went to karaoke as a group. At the time he thought Sugita was far older than him and spoke to him using formal speech. Throughout the whole outing he spoke to him this way until another person told him “Hey Sugita’s younger than you, why are you using formal speech with him?” to which Jun exclaimed “WHAT!? Why didn’t you tell me from the start Sugita?!” This was when they were about 20 years old haha.

Iguchi Yuka no Mu~~~n ⊂（　＾ω＾）⊃ #8

Guests: Asumi Kana, Gibu Yuuko, Taketatsu Ayana

Iguchi Yuka’s new radio which started a couple of weeks after her own ChoRaji! Girls had ended. The name comes from something she’s often done, yelling “Mu~~~n” with her arms open wide lol. Another reason why the name is Mu~~~n is due to the show being aired on Monday, which is written as “Moon Day” in Japanese(as well as English incidentally, a random bit of trivia: The english word Monday was derived from the Old English Mōnandæg and Middle English Monenday which means “Moon Day”) This is the first episode that she’s had a guest come on, I’m glad it’s earlier than her previous ChoRaji! Girls which had it’s first guest on it’s 19th episode. The three guests are here as a Tamayura special.

I know next to nothing about Gibu Yuuko; I know Asumi Kana has barely met up with Taketatsu Ayana before, and only during recent recordings; and that Asumi and Iguchi are really close friends but other than that I’m not sure how well the others know each other. Yuuko has guested on Iguchi’s ChoRaji! Girls once as it’s last guest on 2010.8.27, a month before the show ended. Incidentally Yuuko goes on to guest on Asumi Kana’s own radio show soon after this episode.

Ayana, Asumi and Yuuko were jumping around in the window in the other room at the start lol.
